Summer Bishil (born June 15 in 1985) is an American actress best known for playing Margo on The Magicians, a Syfy drama series based on a fantasy that ran from 2015 to the present. The actress gained recognition because of her performance as a character in Towelhead playing Jasira Marroun an American-Lebanese teenager aged 13 who is thrown into chaos by the U.S. military's incursion into Iraq. The subsequent recognition as one of Variety's Top 10 Actors of 2007 was also an impressive recognition. She also played a powerful character in 2009's crime thriller Crossing Over. For this, she received a nomination in the Independent Spirit Award under the category of the Best Female Leading. Other film roles she has played include the film Moozlum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake in addition to a variety of guest appearances on television.
